OUTLAST Colorado Springs

OUTLAST is a 6 hour trail endurance challenge where participants run a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be completed within the hour to remain in the event; if a lap is missed the participant is removed. Completing all six laps equals approximately 18 miles.

The course is trail based with natural terrain, elevation changes, and unpredictable conditions. Surfaces may include dirt, rocks, roots, and sometimes pavement or gravel. Each 5K is timed individually and, for those who finish all six, the combined time determines local rankings and placement on a national leaderboard.

Rewards are tiered by the number of laps completed. Participants who complete four laps receive a “Grit Earned” patch, five laps earn a “Survivor” patch, and finishing all six earns a premium OUTLAST medal. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Top male and female finishers at each event are recognized by combined 5K time.

Aid is available at the basecamp or loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own bottle or hydration system. Participants may set up their own aid station or tent at the venue. The fastest times across the series are eligible for additional prize opportunities and championship invitation.
