Out Of The Blue Battle 10k & 5k
Out Of The Blue Battle 10k & 5k is an annual twilight race held at Ashburnham Place in Battle, East Sussex. The 2026 edition marks the 11th anniversary and uses trails across parts of the 220 acre estate. The course is described as multi terrain and challenging. Dogs are not allowed on site.
The event offers these race distances:
- 10 km: two laps
- 5 km: one lap
- Junior run
The route runs on estate trails and includes varied surfaces and elevation. On race day there are charity stalls, a BBQ and a free sports massage for participants. Entrants receive a bespoke medal and parking is provided on site. On-the-day entry may be available but payment is cash only due to limited signal and card payments are not accepted.
Out Of The Blue is a fundraising body established in memory of a person who died at Beachy Head in 2013. The event raises funds for four charities that supported the family and community after the bereavement: Child Bereavement UK (merged with Winston's Wish), Dragonflies, CALM and The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team.
