Out Of The Blue Battle 10k & 5k
The Out Of The Blue Battle 10k & 5k is a multi-terrain running event held within the 220-acre grounds of Ashburnham Place in East Sussex. This twilight race takes place on a private estate featuring trails through the local landscape. The event is organized as a fundraiser for four specific charities: Winston's Wish, Dragonflies, CALM, and The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team.
Participants can choose from several distances:
- 10 km (two laps of the course)
- 5 km (one lap of the course)
- Junior Run
The courses are described as multi-terrain and include sections of unmown grass and hills. Registration is open to various age groups, with the 10 km available to those aged 15 and over, and the 5 km open to entrants aged 11 and over. A dedicated Junior Run is also available for younger participants.
Event amenities include an on-site BBQ, charity tents, and free sports massages for runners. All finishers receive a bespoke medal. Free parking is available at Ashburnham Place, located approximately 5 miles from Battle and 7 miles from Bexhill Station. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the estate grounds.
