Event Overview
The Out Of The Blue Battle 10k & 5k is a twilight multi-terrain race on the grounds of the Ashburnham Place estate. It is the 11th anniversary edition of the event, which raises funds for four charities: Winston's Wish, Dragonflies, CALM, and The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team. The event was established in memory of Will Beckett.
Location & Course
The race takes place at Ashburnham Place in Battle, East Sussex. The course explores part of the 220-acre estate. The 10k race consists of two laps, while the 5k is a single lap. Route maps and GPX files are available for download.
Distances & Entry
- 10k: Entry is open to participants aged 15 and over.
- 5k: Entry is open to participants aged 11 and over.
- Junior Run: A separate event for younger participants.
On-the-day entry fees are £30 for the 10k, £25 for the 5k, and £7 for the Junior Run. The event is cash-only for on-the-day payments.
Event Details
Participants receive a bespoke medal, and free parking is available on site. Event amenities have previously included a barbecue and free sports massage. Charity tents are also present. Dogs are not allowed on the site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
