Event Overview

The Out Of The Blue Battle 10k & 5k is a twilight multi-terrain race on the grounds of the Ashburnham Place estate. It is the 11th anniversary edition of the event, which raises funds for four charities: Winston's Wish, Dragonflies, CALM, and The Beachy Head Chaplaincy Team. The event was established in memory of Will Beckett.

Location & Course

The race takes place at Ashburnham Place in Battle, East Sussex. The course explores part of the 220-acre estate. The 10k race consists of two laps, while the 5k is a single lap. Route maps and GPX files are available for download.

Distances & Entry

  • 10k: Entry is open to participants aged 15 and over.
  • 5k: Entry is open to participants aged 11 and over.
  • Junior Run: A separate event for younger participants.

On-the-day entry fees are £30 for the 10k, £25 for the 5k, and £7 for the Junior Run. The event is cash-only for on-the-day payments.

Event Details

Trail races on the South Downs Way around Stanmer with 21 km, 14 km and 5 km options. Routes pass Ditchling Beacon and include chip timing, a finisher medal, GPX files and on-course support for the longer distances.
