Event Overview

The Hawkhurst 10k & 5k returns for its sixth year to the village of Hawkhurst in Kent. Organised in collaboration with the Highgate Hawkhurst WI, the event serves as a fundraiser for local community projects. The races are held at The Moor and feature a variety of distances to accommodate different age groups and preferences.

The course is described as multi-terrain and undulating, with some sections featuring steep climbs through local orchards. The event includes a mass warm-up led by a fitness professional before the start of the races.

Available Distances

  • 10k: Open to participants aged 15 and over.
  • 5k: Open to participants aged 11 and over.
  • Junior Run: A free race around The Moor for younger participants.

Venue and Amenities

Participants can access free parking at the King George V sports field, located opposite the event site at The Moor (TN18 4NX). The event village includes various facilities such as ice cream and coffee vans, pop-up stalls, and a bag drop area.

All finishers across the distances receive a bespoke medal. Additionally, the event provides specific finish-line refreshments, including cakes and bakes provided by the WI and a half-pint of beer at The Eight Bells pub.
