Course and support
The course starts at the visitor center and crosses the dam for about 0.7 miles on road with a wide gravel shoulder to a spillway single track. The route includes a short climb into the gorge trail, a creek crossing that may result in wet feet, passage through a small village, an abandoned road, sections of old-growth and newer growth forest, and a roughly 1-mile road run on SR73 near mile 5.5. The final section is mostly single track and rolling; the description notes 96.49343% single track. There is a 5-hour cutoff for timing and amenities; participants may self-time if they start earlier.
Post-race amenities include homemade chili and a vegetarian option. An aid station with water and energy drink is located near mile 5.5; paper cups are provided only at manned aid stations (about 8 miles in), and unmanned stations have water jugs without cups. Volunteer roles are organized through the event volunteer tab. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
