Operation Flinders City to Summit

Overview

The City to Summit event is a fundraiser walk for the Operation Flinders Foundation. It takes place on Friday, 25 September. The trek starts in the Adelaide CBD, goes through suburban areas and into the Adelaide Hills, and finishes at Mt Lofty Summit. Participants then continue to the Woodhouse Activity Centre.

Route and Duration

The walking route is approximately 21 km. The total journey is expected to take 7-8 hours. Participants are led by an Operation Flinders Team Leader during the walk.

Event Activities

During the trek, there are stops at designated locations for Operation Flinders activities. These include learning about the foundation and hearing from past participants and young people in the program. At the Woodhouse Activity Centre, there is a warm dinner and more opportunities to hear stories from the young people.

Fundraising

The event's primary goal is fundraising for the Operation Flinders Foundation. Participants are encouraged to raise money, with a suggested personal goal of $1,000.
