Event overview

City To Summit takes place on Friday 25 September. The walk starts in the Adelaide CBD and follows a route through suburbia into the Adelaide Hills, finishing at Mt Lofty Summit and then Woodhouse Activity Centre. The route is approximately 21 km and is expected to take about 7 to 8 hours. The event is a fundraiser for the Operation Flinders Foundation; participants are asked to raise money for the foundation. The page lists an initial amount raised of $0 and sets a suggested fundraising challenge of $1,000 per person.

What to expect

Participants walk as a group led by an Operation Flinders Team Leader, who usually works in the northern Flinders Ranges with program participants. Along the route there are designated stops with Operation Flinders activities and opportunities to hear from young people involved in the program. After arriving at Woodhouse Activity Centre, attendees share a warm dinner and hear further presentations from young people. Organizers provide information and fundraising resources, including an event information PDF and a fundraising pack. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
