City To Summit 2026

City To Summit is a fundraising trek held on Friday 25 September. Participants walk from the Adelaide CBD to Mt Lofty Summit and continue to Woodhouse Activity Centre. The route is approximately 21 km and the walk takes about 7 to 8 hours.

The walk is led by an Operation Flinders Team Leader who usually navigates harsh terrain in the northern Flinders Ranges. Along the route participants stop at designated locations to take part in Operation Flinders activities, learn about the Foundation, speak with past participants, and hear success stories from young people.

On arrival at Woodhouse Activity Centre participants share a warm dinner and have further opportunities to hear from young people involved with the Foundation. The event has a fundraising focus; each participant is challenged to raise $1,000 and all funds raised go to the Operation Flinders Foundation to support programs for young people.

Organisers provide event information and a fundraising pack, and additional digital resources are available for participants. The description above summarises the event format, route, on-route experiences, and fundraising purpose. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
