Course and series details

The races run primarily on packed multi-use fat bike trails. The Hawks Ridge section is noted for high elevation above the Lakeside neighborhood and views of the city and lake. This race is part of the Duluth Winter Trailrunning Series, a new series of winter trail races that use packed snow trails throughout Duluth. The series schedule includes events at Chester Park, Lester Park, Hartley Park (a 10K), and a four-hour event called the Frozen 4 Hour in Lester Park. Two races in the series include both snowshoe and "no shoe" trail running divisions. Runners who finish all four races in the series are eligible for a special award.
