North Queensland Cross Country Championships

The 4th annual North Queensland Cross Country Championships will be held on Sunday, 12 April 2026. The event is hosted by the Whitsunday Running Club on behalf of Athletics North Queensland. It takes place at the Whitsunday Regional Sports Precinct in Cannon Valley, located between Proserpine and Airlie Beach.

  • 10 km: Open Men and Women.
  • 8 km: Men aged 20 and under, Masters Men (30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69).
  • 6 km: Boys aged 18 and under, Women aged 20 and under, Masters Women (30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+), Masters Men 70+.
  • 4 km: Girls aged 18 and under, Girls and Boys aged 16 and under.
  • 3 km: Girls and Boys aged 12 and under, Girls and Boys aged 14 and under.
  • 2 km: Girls and Boys aged 11 and under.
  • 1 km: Girls and Boys (6 and under, 8 and under, 10 and under).
  • 6 km Relay: Open to all ages. Teams of three run 2 km each, with a minimum of one female member per team.
