The Anaconda Whitsunday Trail Fest is an annual trail running festival held in the Whitsundays in September. The festival is organised by the Whitsunday Running Club and traces its origins to a 28 km trail introduced in 2006. The course runs through the Conway Circuit, part of the Conway National Park ranges, and finishes on the Airlie Beach foreshore. The event is traditionally held on the second weekend in September. The 2026 festival is noted as the event's 20th year.

Registration for the 2026 series opens on 1 March 2026. The standard entry fees listed include: WTF58 $190 (late $230), WTF28 $150 (late $190), Honeyeater 11k $90 (late $100), and Kids, Junior and Survivors Beach Bash $30. A late fee applies from 1 July 2026. Entries received by 30 June 2026 are guaranteed to receive the event shirt; shirts are not guaranteed after that date. Trail runs nearby

Tackle scenic, hilly trails on Hamilton Island with a challenging 24 km course through the Great Barrier Reef interior, plus team relay and a fun junior program. Finish with medals and beachside prizegiving at the Beach Pavilion.

Run the iconic sands of Whitehaven Beach this June with distances from 500 m to a half marathon, barefoot or in shoes. Ferry transfers to the island are included so you can focus on the scenery and the finish.
