Norfolk Land Trust Trail Race Series

Norfolk Historic District, United States • 5 Oct 2025

The Norfolk Land Trust Trail Race Series, including the Haystack Mountain Challenge, is held annually in Norfolk, Connecticut. The 12th edition features three trail race distances: a challenging 5K through Barbour Woods with scenic climbs and wetlands; a 10K that adds a tough loop summiting Haystack Mountain, part of the USATF-CT MUT Grand Prix; and a grueling half marathon with over 2000 feet of elevation gain, incorporating private trails and two ascents of Haystack Mountain. The event offers a rugged, scenic course with a mix of single and double track trails, carriage roads, and woodland paths. Runners enjoy post-race pizza and beverages in a friendly, outdoor atmosphere. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
