Jug End Loop Ultra
The Jug End Loop Ultra is scheduled for August 22, 2026 at Jug End State Reservation, 120 Jug End Road, Egremont, MA. Organizers have submitted documentation to the Department of Conservation and Recreation to hold the race for an 11th time. Parking is accessed via Guilded Hollow Road with a sign at the lot that connects to Jug End Road.

- 4.2 mile loop event
- 6 hour timed ultra using repeated 4.2 mile laps
The course follows the Jug End Loop Trail and an upper loop through woods, fields and an apple orchard. Each 4.2 mile lap contains approximately 2.1 miles of uphill and 2.1 miles of downhill with about 830 feet of elevation change per lap. During the final hour a 0.75 mile mini loop will be available so participants can reach milestone distances. No partial 4.2 mile laps will be scored after the six hour cutoff.
Registration offers an early bird rate through December 1 with regular registration afterward. Runners 18 and under register at half price using code SUPERKID. Teachers, active and retired service members, and first responders may use code SERVICE to receive a 10 percent discount.
This year the event benefits Louison House in North Adams, MA. The 4.2 Mile John G Memorial Run will donate profits to Dana Farber. Awards include overall male and female, expanded age groups, handmade awards for champions, and a 16 ounce handmade ceramic mug for finishers.
