The NK50k takes place on April 11, 2026, in Greenbush, Wisconsin. It is the 13th Annual-ish running on the Northern Kettle Moraine Ice Age Trail and is a point-to-point trail run. Distances offered:

  • 50K - point-to-point on the Ice Age Trail
  • 25K - point-to-point starting at Crooked Lake

The Greenbush area trails include smooth and rolling ski trails, rocky and rooty sections of the Ice Age Trail, and the highest point in the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest.

Logistics

The finish is at Greenbush Group Camp; transportation is provided from the finish back to the start locations. Aid and drop-bag access for 50K runners will be available at Mile 3.5, Mile 25, and at the finish. Additional water is available at or near backcountry shelters along the course. Aid station offerings include water, sports drink, Coke, Mt. Dew, and typical ultra aid foods. Post-run food and refreshments are provided at the Group Camp Shelter.

Registration requires a requested contribution of $13.13 plus tax and UltraSignup fees. Registration closes on Thu, Apr 9 at 11:59 PM CT. Organizers describe the event as a run rather than a race and state that no results will be posted; participants are advised to assume self-sufficiency.
