The event is a 9 miles trail run held in Sheboygan, WI, at Kohler-Andrae State Park. This is the second annual running of the event. The course is mostly flat with a total ascent of 509 ft and total descent of 485 ft. Registration is not available on race day, and registration closes on Wed, Aug 12.

Course and logistics

The route begins at the indoor shelter and follows concrete paths and wide trails through the Woodland Dunes area, campground sections, and shoreline. By about mile 1.05 runners encounter sand along Lake Michigan. The course uses a mix of beach, trail, shoulder on County V, marsh/pine/prairie trails in the Black River system, a 1.45 mile cordwalk with uneven boards, and a 0.75 mile southbound beach section before returning to the start. Course markings include ground utility flags, orange cones, and tall 5 ft flags. Runners have up to three hours to complete the course.

Aid, rules and amenities

One aid station with water and an electrolyte drink is located in the Black River section (around mile 5.5); no other on-course aid is provided. The event is cupless - participants must provide their own drinking vessel. No cowbells or similar noise makers are allowed and alcohol is not provided. Packet pickup is at the indoor shelter; the closest parking is Lot P7. Post-run snacks and drinks will be available, with gluten-free, vegan, and meat options.
