Event Overview
The Race for Open Space is a trail event held at the Fox Hill Nature Preserve in West Bend, Wisconsin. It takes place on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The event supports the Cedar Lakes Conservation Foundation (CLCF), a local land trust working to conserve natural areas in the region.

Course Details
The course uses the rolling trails of the nature preserve, winding through deciduous forest, restored prairie, and glacial moraine terrain. For safety reasons, strollers and dogs are not permitted on the course. The 10K route consists of two loops.
Participant Information
Participants who register by September 25 are guaranteed a cotton t-shirt. One on-course aid station and a finish-line station will provide water and Gatorade. The event is chip-timed, with the time starting when a participant crosses the start line.
The Kiddos 1K is a free event for children, and each registered child receives a bib and a finisher medal. Parking is available at 4214 Sleeping Dragon Rd in West Bend.
