Badgerland Striders 24-12-6 Hour Runs

The event takes place September 5-6, 2026 at Lapham Peak State Park, Evergreen Lot in Delafield, Wisconsin. Runners may enter timed events or a distance division for set targets.

Distances and divisions include:

  • 24 hour event
  • 12 hour event, day or night option
  • 6 hour event, day or night option
  • Distance division for set targets such as a marathon, 50K, or 50 miles

The course is a one mile loop on a wide, gentle trail with a mixture of gravel, grass, and dirt. Elevation gain is 87' per loop. The loop will be lighted at night; runners may also use a headlamp or flashlight. Chip timing records laps and the race direction is changed every three hours.

A manned aid station at the start/finish provides a variety of foods and fluids. Hammer Nutrition supplies select products, and a reusable cup is available at check-in. This is a cupless event; runners are responsible for carrying their own refill container. Participants may place personal supplies and crew setups along the course.

Pacing by other runners is not allowed, but family and friends may crew and walk with runners during breaks. Plaques record name and mileage for all finishers; champion plaques are awarded to top male and female finishers in the primary timed divisions. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Lapham Peak for trail and facility improvements. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
