Kettle Klomp
The Kettle Klomp is an annual sporting event held at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School in Jackson, Wisconsin. The event takes place on the school's cross country course and features two different distances for participants:
- 5 km run
- 2 mile walk
The 5 km run follows a flatter two-loop course that winds around athletic fields and through the outdoor environmental classroom. This route is the same one used for high school cross country meets. The 2 mile walk takes place on a 3200 m course that utilizes one loop of the high school course. To assist walkers, the route is marked and led by a dedicated ambassador.
The event is open to the public, including local residents, students, and alumni. For the 5 km race, awards are presented to the fastest overall male and female runners, as well as the top three finishers in eleven different age categories ranging from under 10 to 70 and over. Proceeds from the event are used to support the Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School cross country team.
Registration is available online in advance or in person during designated packet pick-up times on the day before the race and on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
