Colorama at Lapham Peak
Colorama is an annual run and walk held at Lapham Peak State Forest in Delafield, WI. The 2025 event is listed as the 36th annual Colorama. Races use wide, well-groomed ski and hiking trails within the park. The event includes a Smokey Bear Fun Run and walk options, and serves as a major fundraiser for Lapham Peak State Forest. Participants receive a choice of t-shirts, may enter free drawings, and run winners receive custom-designed Lapham Peak awards. Treats are offered after the race. Smokey Bear participants age 10 and under receive a youth t-shirt.
Races and course details
- 5K - course tours the middle level of the park
- 10K - course follows the outer perimeter trail
- Smokey Bear Fun Run - circles the pond at Homestead Hollow
- 2.5K walk - newly re-paved accessible trail suitable for wheelchairs or strollers
- 5K walk - same 5K route option available for walkers
