Emmy's Rustic Run

Emmy's Rustic Run is an annual trail run and family fun day organized by the runner's family to support research on ataxia-telangiectasia (A-T). The event includes a trail-based 5k course and options for participants to take part virtually. It is presented as a community gathering on a farm near Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, marking its 10th annual edition on September 26, 2026.

All proceeds from the event are donated to the A-T Children's Project, a charity that funds research into life-improving therapies and a cure for ataxia-telangiectasia. A-T is described as a rare genetic disease affecting children and combining symptoms associated with cerebral palsy, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, cancer, and immune deficiencies.

The day features more than the run itself, with family-oriented activities, food, and community support noted in event communications. The organizers publish updates about fundraising totals and research developments and maintain a list of sponsors supporting the event. Virtual participation is available for those who cannot attend in person.
