Newmillerdam Quacky Trail Race 5K 2026

This is an evening trail race on Wednesday 17 June 2026 at Newmillerdam Country Park, Wakefield. The event covers a single 5 kilometre loop on woodland trails that pass the Arboretum and run beside the lake before returning around the top section of the woods.

The course is described as trail and hilly with one lap. The event has an entry limit of 300 places and a variable number of places remaining at publication. The race licence is not applicable and the course is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Prizes include trophies for the first male and first female overall. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded for the first finishers. Additional trophies are awarded to the first male and first female in the Under 17 category and in the Over 40, Over 50, Over 60 and Over 70 age categories.

Entry fees are listed as £13.00 for affiliated runners and £15.00 for unaffiliated runners; entry on the day is available for an additional £2.00 where the event has not sold out. Facilities at race headquarters by the Barnsley Road entrance area include water, distance markers and toilets; there are no changing facilities, showers or baggage storage.
