Nene Valley Trail Run : 13 June 2026

The event is a trail running event held on Saturday 13 June 2026 at Castle Farm Campsite in Fotheringhay, Peterborough (PE8 5HZ). Two measured distances are offered:

  • 10 miles
  • 20 miles Both routes use easy tracks and paths through rolling Northamptonshire countryside, including green fields, bluebell woodlands, rivers, disused railway tracks and quiet villages. Both courses are fully marked and marshalled and include well stocked aid stations.

Practical information

Entries open 16 June 2025 and close 11 June 2026. Entry fees are £33 for the 10 miles and £44 for the 20 miles. Camping is available at the campsite on the Friday and Saturday nights; there are no showers, and a river is adjacent to the site. Organisers ask participants to bring a personal cup or water bottle for water stations to support eco-friendly arrangements. One pound from each entry will be donated to Kings Cliffe Active. There are no refunds, but places may be transferred to another person via the entry system. The event offers an option to purchase XCover for possible refunds in certain unforeseen circumstances. Trail runs nearby

Run a torchlit 10K through Salcey Forest under Petzl Night Trails: a flat, fully marked two lap course on crushed stone with some mucky sections. Torches required; cafe, toilets and canicross available.

Tackle 26.3 miles around Colworth Estate with five scenic laps of gently undulating trail and lanes, including woodland paths and narrow sections. Friendly club facilities, cup free so bring your own bottle, 30 November in Sharnbrook.

Run a scenic 10 mile trail around Grafham Water, weaving through woodland, Dragonfly Pond and Sanctuary Bay before a final mile along the dam wall. Canicross runs in a separate wave so you can bring your dog on a lead.

Join Bauble Bimble at Ferry Meadows for a fun multi lap challenge with four and six hour session options on a scenic 5.3 km country park loop. Bring your own bottle for refills and enjoy a bespoke finisher medal and relaxed lap format.
