Nebraska Trail Runs

The Nebraska Trail Runs return for a 19th edition at Platte River State Park in Louisville, Nebraska. The event takes place on single track dirt trails located along the Missouri River, accessible via the I-80 interstate. Participants navigate a course that includes rugged, groomed, and well-marked paths with views of the river and local wildlife.

The following distances are available:

  • 10 km (approximately) Nebraska Trail Run
  • 5 km (approximately) Linda's Loop
  • 2 km (approximately 1.5 miles) Katie's Loop
  • 1/4 mile Kids Run for participants aged 12 and under

This is a self-supported trail run. Participants are required to bring their own water bottles, which can be refilled at the start area and the turnaround point. To enter the park, a Nebraska Game and Park permit is required, which may be purchased online in advance. Parking is available near Owen's Landing at the start and finish area.

The event provides custom awards and long-sleeve sweatshirts for participants. A post-race gathering is held featuring refreshments.
