Calistoga, United States • 24 Oct 2026
34th Annual Napa Fall Wine Country Marathon
The Napa Fall Wine Country Marathon takes place in Bothe-Napa Valley State Park, located near Calistoga and Saint Helena. This event features a trail-based course primarily consisting of lush single-track paths. Runners will navigate a natural environment characterized by hills, rocks, and streams. The event is strictly limited to 300 participants.
The event offers three distinct distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
The courses are marked with orange ribbons at all trail crossings. A single aid station is situated at the start and finish area. Participants in the half marathon pass this station once between their two loops, while marathon runners access it at miles 6, 10, 16, and 20. There is a total course cut-off time of six hours for all distances. Hikers and walkers are permitted to participate within these time constraints.
For safety reasons, headphones and other audio devices are not allowed on the course due to narrow trails and steep drop-offs. All participants receive a t-shirt, while medals are specifically awarded to those completing the marathon and half marathon. Parking is available within the state park for a fee, with alternative parking located along Highway 29. Indoor and outdoor accommodation options, including yurts and campsites, are available within the park grounds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
