2026 Napa Fall Wine Country Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, & 5K

The event is scheduled for October 24, 2026 at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park near Saint Helena, California. It offers multiple distances and is limited to 300 participants.

The course runs largely on single track within the state park and includes hills, streams, and rocky sections. The route will be marked with orange ribbon at trail crossings. There is one aid station at the start and finish area; half marathoners encounter it once between two loops and marathoners at miles 6, 10, 16, and 20. The marathon course has a six hour cut off and published pace limits for each distance.

Race materials and incentives include mailed bib numbers beginning two weeks before the event, a participant T-shirt for all entrants, medals for all marathon and half marathon finishers, and personalized award ribbons for the top three male and female finishers in each age group, which will be mailed after the race. Parking inside the park has a fee and overflow parking is available along Highway 29. Headphones and other audio devices are not allowed on the course for safety. These trail runs explore the beautiful Sonoma Coast State Park. The courses traverse a scenic ridgeline with ocean views and summit Red Hill. The event will return in 2027 with a planned new location in Monte Rio.

A community charity walk and run at Howarth Memorial Park supporting Dogwood Animal Rescue Project, with a 1.5 mile course and a virtual option that ships a race packet including a limited-edition dog bandana.

A time-based trail event at Skyline Wilderness Park offering 12 hour, 6 hour and 3 hour options on a 4.16 mile loop with 815 feet of climb per lap; chip-timed, cupless, and limited to 500 entrants.

A PA/USATF cross country race of 3.4 miles at Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa on August 30, 2026. The 33rd annual Empire Open features rugged dirt trails, three races including a masters division, and a $1,500 prize purse for USATF..
