Mweelrea Mountain Race
Mweelrea is a mountain running event located in County Mayo, forming part of both the Irish Championship and the Connacht Championship leagues. The race covers a distance of 10.70 km with a total ascent of 766 meters. The event is classified with a difficulty rating of 9, characterized by difficult terrain and significant climbing.
The course begins and ends at the Silverstrand car park. Participants follow a road for 1 km before transitioning to a farmers track for 500 meters.
