Course and Location

The Muddy Sneaker is a trail run of more than twelve miles (approximately 20 km). It takes place in the Hi Tor Wildlife Management Area, located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State, southeast of Canandaigua Lake, near Naples, New York. The race is established in 2000.

Terrain and Conditions

The course features some of the most rapid elevation loss and gain of any trail run in the region. Participants may encounter hazards such as rocks, roots, snow, ice, logs to crawl over, stream crossings, and wildlife.

Participant Information

The event has a cap of 200 registered runners, with no waiting list. There is an early start option for participants who are not eligible for awards. Packet pickup begins in the morning.

Registration and Refunds

Registration is managed through UltraSignup. The organizer, Goose Adventure Racing, provides withdrawal refunds for the race entrance fee only, not including the UltraSignup administration fee. There is no waitlist. Refunds are processed automatically upon cancellation via the UltraSignup dashboard, with a 100% refund within 10 days of registration, a 50% refund before April 1, 2026, and no refund after that date.
