High Tor Trail Marathon
The High Tor Trail Marathon offers a half marathon and a marathon option in and around Naples, NY. Both distances begin and end at Naples Community Park and use the town and nearby public lands for most of the route.
The course briefly enters the High-Tor Wildlife Management Area, runs through downtown Naples along Main Street, and returns to trail sections. Runners re-enter High Tor at the Digger aid station, follow the Finger Lakes Trail for a long climb and descent to the Bassett Road aid station, then face a second significant climb toward the Brink Road aid station. After the second climb the route features downhill sections that lead back to the finish at the park.
The half marathon is a single loop that mixes gentle terrain, climbs, and downhills. The marathon is offered by completing two loops of the same course. The event is community driven and includes multiple aid stations positioned along the route. The description notes the course suits spectators and families who wish to watch parts of the route. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
