Course and logistics
The 25k is a single loop that circumnavigates the Cumming Nature Center and part of the Honeoye Inlet Wildlife Management Area. The route includes a steep winding ascent and descent on historic logging roads, well-maintained Cumming Nature Center trails, and more rugged, less-traveled terrain along the Rattlesnake Hill ridgeline east of Honeoye Lake. Aid stations for the 25k are placed at approximately 4-mile intervals for a total of three on-course stations; the 10k has access to one aid station. The event is cup-free; participants should bring a bottle or reusable cup for aid station refueling. There is a 4-hour cutoff for the 25k. Volunteer first aid caregivers will be at the start/finish area; aid station medical coverage is not guaranteed. Driving access on course is limited to the start/finish area, and runner aid by crews is permitted only at aid stations. Japanese Stiltgrass is known on the route, and footwear cleaning before and after activities is recommended to reduce its spread. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
