Muddy Paws 10 Mile
Boston Township, United States • 13 Jun 2026
Muddy Paws
Muddy Paws is a trail race held in the Kendall Lake area of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The event offers three distance options:
- 5k
- 5 Mile
- 10 Mile
The 5k is a new distance for 2026. The 5 Mile course is one loop and the 10 Mile course consists of two loops. The course begins on grass, crosses a wildflower meadow, and continues into oak, hickory, and beech woodlands that have reclaimed former farmland. Runners encounter hills and stretches of trail surfaced by needles from white and red pines planted by the CCC in the 1930s. Kendall Lake frames part of the route and the course passes Sound of Music Hill near the finish.
Muddy Paws is part of the Dirty Trail Series and notes that hikers are welcome. Donations from the event benefit the Humane Society of Summit County; the organization brings a Mobile Adoption Center to the venue on race day. Swag for finishers includes a finisher medal plus one item chosen from a triblend tee, crossbody bag, CVNP water bottle, or ice bandana. A Dirty Trail Series VIP membership option is available, offering race discounts and additional swag choices.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in five-year age groups from 14 & under through 70 & over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
