Mud Tribe (Nuclear Races)

Mud Tribe is a muddy obstacle course event organised by Nuclear Races in Brentwood, Essex. The event offers two route options and features mud, foam and a variety of on-course obstacles designed to be achievable without specialist upper-body strength. Participants navigate non-submerged water features and foam sections while moving at their own pace; the event is not chip-timed.

  • 1.5 km : approx 1 hour, age 4+
  • 5 km : approx 2 hours, age 7+

Included on event day are hot wash-downs, changing rooms, bag drop, a finisher medal and a free finisher photo with options to purchase more. The course includes a mix of obstacles that the organiser describes as achievable for a range of ages. There is also a female-only Mud Tribe Sisters wave as an additional start option. Under 15s must be accompanied by a paying adult.

An off-road measured 5K at Westley Heights Country Park, Race 3 of the seven-event Crown to Crown series, run mainly on bridleways with basic race services and TRA licensing.

A trail event at Colemans Fishery in Rivenhall on 14 Jun 2026 offering two route choices of about 6.5 or 4.2 miles. Entry fees are non-refundable and proceeds go to Essex and Herts Air Ambulance Trust.

Round 3 is a 5k trail race at Langdon Discovery Nature Park on 16 June 2026, run as two laps of a 2.5k circuit. The event is for ages 12 and over, supports local charities and provides on-the-day entries at the same price as online.

A low-key Category A fell race inside the M25 held on 19 June 2026, with multiple climbs around Yardley Valley and a finish on Pole Hill overlooking the Lea Valley. Entry is via SPOND and carries a £5 fee.
