Muddy Obstacle Course in Brentwood

Mud Tribe is an obstacle course event located in Brentwood, Essex, designed for participants to navigate through mud and foam. The event emphasizes a non-competitive atmosphere, focusing on a shared experience without the use of chip timing or the pressure of racing against a clock. Participants can choose between two main course lengths:

  • 5 km: Open to participants aged 7 and older, with an estimated duration of approximately 2 hours.
  • 1.5 km: A family oriented option for participants aged 4 and older, taking approximately 1 hour to complete.

The course features a wide variety of obstacles designed to be achievable for all ability levels. The design of these obstacles does not require specific upper-body strength. While the course includes water-based obstacles, there is no full water submersion required. Additionally, a female-only start time, known as Mud Tribe Sisters, is available during the event.

The venue provides several facilities to participants, including a bag drop service, changing rooms, and hot wash-down stations at the end of the course. Every finisher receives a medal and a digital finisher photo. The event is located approximately 15 minutes away from Brentwood station and Epping Underground station, making it accessible via train and taxi. Spectators are permitted at the event, and well-behaved dogs on leads are also welcome on-site. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
