Mt. Umunhum Trail Conquest - Fall

This trail event takes place at the Hacienda Entrance of Almaden Quicksilver County Park in San Jose, CA. Courses are out-and-back and will be marked with single solid-color ribbons, clothespins, signs, and gypsum. Toilets are available at the start/finish, at all aid stations, and at on-course water stops.

Several courses travel into the Sierra Azul Open Space Preserve. The 30K includes a summit of Bald Mountain. The Trail Marathon and the 50K include the Mt. Umunhum summit. Course ascent figures are provided for each distance, ranging from 968 feet on the 5K to 7,635 feet on the 50K. Time limits vary by race; for example, the Half Marathon has a 4-hour limit, the 30K a 7-hour limit, and the Trail Marathon and 50K have 9-hour limits.

Aid stations with water and toilets are located at defined mile points for each distance, and some stations accept drop bags for longer races. Free parking is available at the Hacienda entrance and carpooling is encouraged. Online registration is available through the evening before the event, and race day registration is offered at the venue. Volunteers receive a free future race entry.
