The Mt Portal – Race 1 Short Course Series offers two distances, 17.5km and 11km, and is set in the Blue Mountains National Park. The race starts at Euroka Clearing and features a challenging course with a mix of fire trails and single tracks, including a tough climb to the top of Mt. Portal and Portal Lookout.

There are two aid stations along the route, and a 2-hour cut off at the top of the causeway and a 3-hour cut off for the race finish. The event follows COVID-19 safety guidelines and requires a 500ml bottle or fuel belt as mandatory items. The race date is set for Sunday, 25th February 2024, with a 7:30 am start time, and entry fees are $50 for members and $75 for non-members.
