True Grit Sydney

True Grit Sydney is scheduled for 27 June 2026 at Dragle Farm, Lower Portland, NSW. The event uses the natural landscape to host a military inspired obstacle course over grassland, rainforest, muddy swamps and cliffs. The festival area is on the riverbank and includes food, drinks and music.

The event offers multiple course options and ages are restricted by distance. The Elite wave is the only officially timed category; Elite racers must attempt every obstacle, cannot receive assistance and incur a 20 burpee penalty for each failed obstacle. Waves are run at regular intervals to manage course flow.

On-course features include a mix of engineered obstacles such as traverse ropes, monkey bars, pontoon bridges, tyre wall, big climbs and multiple carries. Typical on-course support includes at least one water station, access to medical treatment and water during the event. Finishers receive a finisher t-shirt and an electrolyte drink.

On-site unpowered camping is available in Gold, Silver and Bronze zones with toilets and showers; pets are not permitted in the campground. Parking is available on-site for a fee per vehicle. Spectator entry is free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
