True Grit Sydney 2026

True Grit Sydney is a military-inspired obstacle course event held at Dragle Farm in Lower Portland, located near Sydney. The course is built into a diverse natural landscape that includes grassland, rainforest, muddy swamps, and rugged cliffs. Participants navigate various obstacles designed to test physical and mental endurance, with challenges integrated directly into the wild terrain.

The event offers several course lengths and formats:

  • 15 km Elite: A timed, competitive race for participants aged 16 and over.
  • 15 km Course: The event's longest standard distance for participants aged 16 and over.
  • 12HR Enduro: A 12-hour endurance challenge where participants complete as many laps of the 15 km course as possible between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.
  • 10 km Course: The signature distance featuring over 30 obstacles for those aged 16 and over.
  • 5 km Course: A shorter distance with over 15 obstacles, open to participants aged 12 and over.

The military-style obstacles feature equipment such as A-frames, traverse ropes, monkey bars, pontoon bridges, and the ramp. Participants can also expect to encounter the tyre wall, rope climbs, and various weighted carries.

The venue includes a festival area on the riverbank with food, drinks, and music. On-site unpowered camping is available in three tiers: Gold (riverfront), Silver, and Bronze. Facilities include toilets and showers. Parking is provided on-site for a fee, and there is a bag drop service available for a donation.
