True Grit Sydney is an outdoor obstacle event set into the natural terrain at Dragle Farm in Lower Portland. The course runs through grassland, rainforest, muddy swamp and cliffs, and includes a riverside festival area with music, food and drink vendors.
Available race options include:
- 15km Elite, Timed, prizes for top 3 male and female, 16+ years
- 15km (NEW), 16+ years
- 12HR Enduro, Timed endurance based on most laps, solo, pairs or teams of four, 16+ years
- 10km, 16+ years
- 5km, 12+ years
Obstacles are designed for the location and include A Frame, long carries, traverse ropes, monkey bars, rope climbs, pontoon bridges, tyre walls, ramps and steep climbs. The Elite wave requires all obstacles to be attempted and applies a 20 burpee penalty for each failed or skipped obstacle. Finish times are recorded for the Elite wave and top finishers.
Enduro entries include a pit stop zone, camping for two nights within that zone, a finisher shirt and a timing chip. On site camping is offered in Gold, Silver and Bronze areas, with toilets and showers provided and pets not permitted. Spectators enter free, and parking is available on site for a fee.
