Ten Trails of Garigal (Garigal Trail Run)

Ten Trails of Garigal takes place on 6 September 2026 at Acron Oval, St Ives, NSW. The event uses a lap format: participants run up to ten 5 km laps on a marked trail loop that includes winding singletrack and rolling elevation.

Each lap has a 45 minute cut off. A competitor must finish a lap within that window to begin the next lap. If a lap is missed, a participant may rest and rejoin on a later lap. The course features aid stations, water drums and bubblers at the event centre, and on course fuel supplied by event partners.

The event is fully timed with live tracking and instant results after finishing. St John’s Ambulance will provide first aid on site. Additional on-site facilities include toilets within 20 metres and catering available for purchase. Parking is available on surrounding residential streets and some buses stop outside the oval. The organiser runs a no plastic policy and recommends bringing refillable bottles and extra layers for colder weather.

Distances and common options:

  • Trail Taster: 20 km (4 laps)
  • Trail Trekker: 40 km (8 laps)
  • Trail Blazer: 50 km (10 laps)

Entry price is listed as $120. Ticket transfers are allowed with a $20 administration fee. Participants receive a medal and there are sponsor awards for top finishers and community recognitions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
