Ultra-Trail Australia by UTMB takes place in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, from 14 to 17 May 2026. The event is held within the world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park and attracts thousands of runners, spectators and support crew. Organisers include a traditional Welcome to Country and cultural elements linked to the Gundungurra people, including yidaki performances on Ironpot ridge. The course passes cliff tops, exposed rock formations, waterfalls and native bush.
