The Mt Bogong Conquestathon is scheduled for Saturday 28 February 2026. The event is the 46th staging and entries are capped at 300 participants. It is organised with competitive and non-competitive categories, plus team awards for fastest and largest teams. Funds raised support the Birkebeiner Nordic Ski Club Search and Rescue. Course, safety and entry details

The course is a loop totalling 21 km with a total elevation gain of 1,410 m to the summit of Mt Bogong (1,986 m). The climb uses Staircase Spur for the first 9 km to the summit, then descends via Eskdale Spur to Camp Creek Gap and follows a 4WD track for the final 8 km back to Mountain Creek Campground. Participants are advised to have prior experience of a similar grade hike of at least 20 km with about 1,300 m elevation gain. Mandatory gear is required to start and there are staffed checkpoints with cut-off points on the course; failure to reach those checkpoints requires returning to the campground or using the event transport. Under-18 entrants must have a parent or guardian contactable and present for the duration of the event.
