Mt Beauty Running Festival

The Mt Beauty Running Festival takes place on Saturday 16 May 2026 at the Mount Beauty Secondary College oval on Pool Road, Mt Beauty, Victoria. The event is set in the Upper Kiewa Valley and notes the local autumn colours as part of the course setting.

The program includes multiple running options and a schools competition. A $250 cash prize is offered for the winning school in the Schools Challenge Competition. Teams may include students and staff and can have entrants in any of the four events. Points are awarded to the top five overall finishers in each team; the team with the lowest average points wins.

Food and drinks will be available on site through a bake sale and BBQ run by Mt Beauty Playgroup, with proceeds supporting the playgroup.

The festival has introduced an environmental measure: plastic cups will not be provided at on-course drink stations. Participants are asked to carry their own drink bottle or hydration pack; water and sports drink will be available at drink stations for refills.
