Mt. Baldhead Challenge
The Mt. Baldhead Challenge is scheduled for September 12, 2026, in Saugatuck, Michigan. The event offers multi terrain courses that pass through woodland trails, freshwater wooded sand dunes, local streets, and the Mt. Baldhead stair climb.

Course details note that both routes include trail sections, dune terrain, and the climb of Mt. Baldhead, which includes 302 steps. Timing is based on chip times and the race uses staggered start waves; registrants provide expected finishing time during registration. The finish line and post race area are located within the boundaries of Coghlin Park.
Pre-race logistics include packet pickup at the Community Church of Douglas and a mail away packet option via USPS. Parking is available at Oval Beach and the Community Church of Douglas, with shuttle buses running between those locations. Hydration stops are placed along the courses and provide Gatorade and water. Portable restrooms are located at Oval Beach, Coghlin Park, and designated points on the course.
Post-race activities at Coghlin Park include music, awards, hydration and nutrition, adult beverages, and event merchandise. Net proceeds support free after school and summer life enrichment programs at Saugatuck Public Schools through the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Holland. Registration offers non binary, male, and female gender options, and transfers or deferrals are permitted under the race refund policy.
