Mr Sparkle's Dark Un is a night fell race on 27 February 2026 based at the Royal Hotel, Tockholes, Darwen (BB3 0PA). The course distance is 8.1 km with 214 m of climb and is listed as category BS. The route runs across open moorland and includes a couple of stiff climbs, muddy sections and a final descent to the finish. The course will be marshalled and marked, but participants should be competent navigators. Mandatory kit requirements include full body cover and a headtorch; a kit check will be carried out. Additional required items listed include a map, compass and whistle. No drinks will be available at the finish line; refreshments are available in the pub. Dogs are not permitted. Run the Petzl Night Runner at Rivington under head torch light, choosing 10 km or a half marathon on glow in the dark trail signage. Expect rough, boggy, rocky terrain, a finisher medal and lively post race buzz.

Take on The Half & Half 10 km on 25 January 2026 at Sowerby Bridge for a split terrain challenge. Rugged muddy trails and obstacles give way to a tarmac finish, entries are limited to 100 and hoodies are available to pre order.
