Mountaineer Rumble 10 Mile, 50K, 100K, 100 Mile
The Mountaineer Rumble is a multi-distance trail event held at Kings Mountain State Park in Clover, SC. Runners complete a roughly ten mile loop that highlights the CCC Multi-Use Trail, with each loop gaining about 650 feet of elevation.
Distances offered:
- 10 Mile
- 50K : three loops plus a half mile out and back at the start
- 100K : six loops plus a mile out and back at the start
- 100 Mile : ten loops
Each loop contains two fully stocked aid stations. There is an indoor aid station at the start and finish area with space for drop bags, and a canopy area nearby for crews. Crew access is limited to the start and finish area.
Time limits are specified for each distance: 50K runners have 10 hours, 100K runners have 20 hours, and 100 Mile runners have 32 hours. All finishers receive an award; 50K and 100K awards note the distance and 100 Mile finishers receive a custom designed buckle. Since 2022, participants who complete all three longer distances receive a special handmade display award for medals and the buckle.
Race weekend includes packet pickup, cabin assignments, group meals, a pre-race meeting, and pre-race review and entertainment.
