Mountaineer Rumble 100 Miler

The Mountaineer Rumble takes place at Kings Mountain State Park in Clover, South Carolina and offers multiple trail race distances over a repeated loop course.

Distances included:

• 10 Mile - single ten mile loop
• 50K - three loops plus a half mile out-and-back
• 100K - six loops plus a one mile out-and-back
• 100 Mile - ten loops

Each loop follows the CCC Multi-Use Trail (Orange Blaze) and gains approximately 650 feet of elevation per loop. Each loop has two fully stocked aid stations. An indoor aid station is located at the start/finish area with space for drop bags, and a canopy area is provided around the start/finish for crew setup; crew access is limited to the start/finish location.

Time limits are defined for each distance: 10 hours for the 50K, 20 hours for the 100K, and 32 hours for the 100 Mile. All finishers receive awards; 50K and 100K awards note the distance, and 100 Mile finishers receive a custom designed buckle. Since 2022, runners who complete all three ultra distances receive a special custom handmade display award; finishes may be in any order and do not require a multi-year streak.

The event program includes a multi-day weekend with packet pickup, meals, pre-race meetings, and overnight cabin lodging options for multi-distance runners, with additional cabin availability for 100 Mile finishers into the weekend. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
