Mountaineer Rumble 10 Mile, 50K, 100K and 100 Miler
The event is a looped trail race held in South Carolina on a ten mile loop that highlights the CCC Multi-Use Trail (Orange Blaze). Each loop has approximately 650 feet of elevation gain.
Distances offered:
- 10 Mile
- 50K : three loops plus a half mile out-and-back
- 100K : six loops plus a mile out-and-back
- 100 Miler : ten loops
Each loop includes two fully stocked aid stations. An indoor aid station at the start/finish provides drop bag storage. A canopy area near the start/finish is available for crew; crew access is limited to the start/finish area.
Time limits are stated for each distance: 50K has a 10 hour limit, 100K has a 20 hour limit, and the 100 Miler has a 32 hour limit.
All finishers receive awards. 50K and 100K finishers receive similar awards noting their distance. 100 Miler finishers receive a custom designed buckle. Beginning in 2022, runners who complete all three ultra distances receive a special handmade award to display medals and the buckle; finishes may be in any order.
Cabin lodging is available to 50K, 100K, and 100 Miler runners for Friday and Saturday nights, with additional cabin access after the 100 Miler through Sunday and into Monday morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
