The Last Wolf is a trail running event held in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, at 4611 Linwood Road. The event includes multiple distance options:
- Last Man Standing
- 50K
- 25K
- 5K
Medals are awarded on completion of the race; each finisher receives a unique medal. Race results will be posted on UltraSignup. Photos from the event will be available about one week after the race.
Course, services and rules
The course is described as an easy trail route with gravel surfaces and some elevation gain and loss. One section is roughly an out-and-back of about a mile. Aid stations are provided and stocked with water, Tailwind, a variety of sodas, and food items such as pickles, cereal, pretzels, candy, fruit, and bacon. Basic first aid is available at aid stations.
Bibs must be worn on the front and be clearly visible during the race. Trekking poles are not allowed. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course except by special exception. Runners and walkers may participate if they meet the event time limit. Entry fees are non-refundable if the event is canceled; deferral requests must be made to the race director.
