Monster Colour 5k Calgary
Monster Colour 5k takes place on September 19, 2026 at North Glenmore Park in Calgary. The event combines a 5k course with inflatable monster structures on the route, color powder stations, bubble stations, and music. A post-run festival features a DJ, an on-site MC, entertainment and merchandise stalls.
Participation requires a ticket; separate tickets exist for the festival and for the 5k. Tickets are offered at different price tiers during advance sales and higher-priced tickets may be available on the day of the event. Children aged 5 and under may take part without registering for the main race but will not receive a medallion or color pack unless a children’s pack is purchased. Participants aged 8 and under must be accompanied by a participating adult aged 18 or older.
Race kits are not shipped and must be picked up on event day. Parking in and around the park is free but limited and operates on a first come first served basis. Wheelchairs, strollers and pushchairs are permitted, though course terrain may vary between roads, pathways, grass, unpaved trails and hills. Event safety notes ask faster runners to keep left and walkers and stroller users to keep right; participants should wear their race wristband and seek volunteers if assistance is needed on course.
