Momentus BackYard Ultra

Momentus BackYard Ultra is scheduled for May 30, 2026 at Williams Rushing Farm, a private farmland venue near Monroe, North Carolina. The event offers two run options and uses a 4.167 mile loop as its core distance.

  • 4.167 mile loop repeated every hour until one runner remains
  • Single 4.167 mile loop for a relaxed community fun run

The Back Yard Ultra follows the last-runner-standing format in which participants complete the loop each hour until only one runner continues. The Celebrity Fun Run is a single lap run, open to walking, jogging, rucking, or running. Entry fees are listed for each option.

The trail is described as intermediate difficulty with mostly packed dirt, roots, rocks, a short gravel section, and about 100 feet of elevation gain per lap. The setting is private farmland with a village area for crews and spectators.

The event is self supported on course with no staff aid on the trail. Crews are allowed in the village but only one approved on site vehicle is permitted per runner; oversized vehicles and trailers are not allowed in the on site lot and additional vehicles will use satellite parking with shuttle service. Music will be played throughout the race and registrants may add tracks to the event Spotify playlist. Participants may camp in a designated area during the event. Runners who begin Lap 8 must have a designated driver and may not drive themselves after that lap. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
