Terror Trails Ultra takes place on October 31, 2026 at Cane Creek Park near 5213 Harkey Road in Waxhaw, NC. The event offers multiple trail distances and is scheduled for Halloween morning. Registration opens Wed. Jul 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET.

Course notes describe a mix of smooth, fast sections and technical terrain including rocks, roots, creek crossings and notable vertical. The 25K uses a roughly 15.5 mile loop passed multiple times and has an 8 hour cutoff. The 50K is two laps of that loop, passes six aid stations plus the start area, and has a 10 hour cutoff; 50K runners must begin their second lap by 12:30 PM to continue.

All aid stations are stocked with water, Gatorade and snacks; runners expected to be on course 90 minutes or longer are strongly advised to wear a hydration vest. All registered participants receive race entry into any distance and a cookout lunch. Packet pickup is on site on race morning. Top three overall finishers in each distance receive a special award.
