OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge
The OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge is a 24-hour looped ultrarunning event at Mint Hill Park on Wilgrove in Mint Hill, NC. The loop is approximately 1.35 miles long and combines crushed gravel, wooded singletrack, grassy trail, and a short paved section near the parking area.
The event includes solo entries and relay teams. Solo runners may cover as many laps as they choose during the 24-hour period. Relay teams can include 2 to 12 runners who alternate laps. A timing chip on each bib automatically records every completed lap and lap counts serve as the official distance measure.
Distances by lap count:
- 100K = 46 loops (about 62.1 miles)
- 100 Miles = 74 loops (about 99.9 miles)
An aid station is located at the start/finish area and will offer water, electrolytes, broth, gels, snacks, sandwiches, and rotating hot food overnight and through Saturday. Restrooms are close to the aid station. The course will be clearly marked with flagging and signage on the right-hand side. There is ample parking and space for personal tents or vehicle setups at the venue.
All participants receive an event shirt and a custom finisher medal. Additional awards include a special 100K medal and a 100 plus mile finisher belt buckle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
