OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge
The OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge is a timed 24 hour running event held at Mint Hill Park on Wilgrove in Mint Hill, NC. The course is a loop of approximately 1.35 mile that combines crushed gravel, wooded singletrack, grassy trail, and a short paved section along the parking area. Course markings will be placed on the right-hand side.
Event options include:
- 24 Hour Individual
- 24 Hour Team Relay (teams of 2 to 12 runners)
The loop begins and ends at the same location, providing regular access to an aid station and restrooms. An aid station at the start/finish will offer water, electrolytes, broth, gels, snacks, sandwiches, and rotating hot food overnight and through the following day. Bathrooms are located close to the aid station. Participants may set up personal tents or operate from vehicles near the loop, and ample parking is available.
Timing is recorded by a chip on the bib that logs laps. Lap counts are used for distance awards; for reference, 100K corresponds to 46 laps and 100 miles to 74 laps. Finishers of 100K and 100+ mile distances receive special awards. All participants receive an event shirt and a finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
