OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge - Mint Hill, NC
The OMR Ultra 24 Hour Challenge is a 24 hour running event held at Mint Hill Park on Wilgrove, 7750 Jim Harper Ln, Mint Hill, North Carolina. The event offers individual 24 hour entries and team relay options for teams of 2 to 12 runners. The course is a loop approximately 1.35 miles long with a mix of crushed gravel, wooded singletrack, grassy trail, and a short paved section near the parking area. The loop is clearly marked with flagging tape and signage, with all course markings placed on the right-hand side. A timing chip on the race bib records each completed lap.
The event uses a rolling start and counts laps toward distance totals and awards. The venue provides ample parking and space for crew setups, personal tents, and vehicle-based staging for supplies and rest. An aid station at the start and finish will be stocked with water, electrolytes, broth, gels, snacks, sandwiches, and rotating hot food overnight and through the following day. Propane grills and open flames are not permitted except in stationary park charcoal grills. Bathrooms are located close to the aid station. Participants should plan for supplemental food if needed.
All participants receive a finisher medal and an event shirt. Distance recognitions include:
- 100K = 46 loops (about 62.1 miles)
- 100 Miles = 74 loops (about 99.9 miles)
Runners who reach 100K or more receive a custom OMR Ultra coin and those who reach 100 plus miles receive a finisher buckle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
