Mohawk Mountain Race

The event takes place at the Mohawk Mountain Ski Resort in Cornwall, Connecticut. The course uses the ski mountain and surrounding trails, including the Mohawk State Forest. It features climbs and descents on the ski slopes, with views of the fall foliage.

The event offers several distances on October 11, 2026:

The 5K course is a loop starting up the left side of the mountain on the Wildwood Trail, going over to the Timber Trail, and traversing trails on the right side of the mountain like Pine, Laurel, and Deer Run. The route then goes down Victor's Way, back up Route 100 and Ledges to the summit, and finishes by descending the Mohawk Trail. The 10K involves two loops of the 5K course. The Half Marathon course consists of one 5K loop plus additional miles in the Mohawk State Forest. The Marathon is two loops of the Half Marathon course.

Hikers and walkers are welcome to participate in the 5K and 10K distances. Finishers receive a medal, and there are awards for the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance.
