Moccasin 24

Event overview

Moccasin 24 takes place December 26-28, 2025 in Memphis, TN at the Wolf River Trails / S. Walnut Bend Rd trailhead. The event offers multiple formats: a solo 24-hour run, a 24-hour relay, and a 4-mile family run. Packet pickup is available on the days before the 24-hour start at the Start/Finish area.

Course and logistics

The 24-hour formats use a 4-mile loop on the Wolf River Trails. The Start/Finish area will have a large canopy tent with walls, heaters, chairs, blankets, and a staffed aid station set up as a help-yourself area with food and warm drinks. Participants may keep a personal drop bag at the Start/Finish and access it every 4 miles. Personal nutrition and hydration needs are the responsibility of each participant. Participants may bring their own canopy and personal aid station.

The Friday 4-mile run is open to all ages when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Dogs are allowed in the 4-mile run if leashed and non-aggressive; dogs will receive finisher medals.

Prizes, awards and rules

Solo male and female winners of the 24-hour race receive $500 each. The top relay team earns $1,000. If a solo runner covers more miles than the top relay team, that solo runner receives $1,000 and the relay team still receives $1,000. All finishers receive a custom finisher medal and a long-sleeve race shirt. Buckles are awarded at 52 miles and for completing 100 miles in under 24 hours. Age limits apply: 18+ for the 24-hour race; all ages for the 4-mile with guardian. No refunds. No pacers unless the pacer is a registered runner.
