The event takes place in Memphis, TN, on a 4-mile loop along the Wolf River Trails with the Trailhead at the Wolf River Refuge. It includes a solo 24-hour event, a 24-hour relay, and a family 4-mile run for children accompanied by a parent or guardian. The trails will be decorated with battery-powered Christmas lights and there will be a bonfire at the start/finish area.

Race format, support, and rules
The 24-hour solo event allows runners to cover as many miles as they choose on repeated 4-mile loops; runners may join after the start and re-enter the race at any time. Relay teams may include two, three, or four members and may be all-male, all-female, or co-ed. There is one fully manned, help-yourself aid station at the start/finish with food, soups, coffee, heaters, chairs, and blankets; runners should bring any special nutrition or hydration needs. Drop bags are accessible at the start/finish every 4 miles.
Prizes include $500 for the male and female solo winners and $1,000 for the top relay team; if a solo runner covers more miles than the top relay team, that solo runner receives $1,000 and the relay team still receives $1,000. All finishers receive a medal and a long-sleeve race t-shirt; buckles are awarded for 52 miles and for 100 miles completed in under 24 hours. Age limits: 18+ for the 24-hour race; the 4-mile run is open to all ages with a parent or guardian. No pacers are allowed unless they are registered runners. Refunds are not offered.
