The May Madness 50K is a Boogie Races event held near Hoffman, North Carolina, on May 23, 2026. The format is ten consecutive, separate 5K laps on a wheel-measured course of approximately 5K each. Course, logistics and rules

The course is all natural - sand, dirt, leaves and pine straw - with minimal shade and possible horse droppings. There is no water on the course; participants are encouraged to carry a bottle. An aid station at the start/finish area will offer water, Gatorade, some snack food and basic first aid supplies, but the organizer notes that personal food and supplies are needed for the day. There are no nearby restaurants. Free camping is available Friday night after 4 p.m. - tents and campers welcome, no hookups. Dogs are not allowed on the course; a handler must monitor any dog brought to the site while the owner runs. Registration is limited; fees vary by date and there are no refunds, deferrals, transfers or wait lists. First overall male and female receive pottery awards; no other finisher awards are given.
