Course, logistics and rules

The loop is wheel-measured at approximately 5K and is entirely natural surface: sand, dirt, leaves, pine straw, and similar terrain. Shade is minimal and there is no water on the course, so runners are advised to carry their own bottle. The aid station will offer water, Gatorade, some snack items, and basic first aid, but participants should bring ample personal food, ice, a cooler, a chair, and a pop-up shelter for resting. Dogs are not allowed on the course unless another person monitors the dog while the runner is running. Littering can result in disqualification. The event director may stop, pause, disqualify, delay, or cancel laps for safety reasons, and event information may change. Registration fees vary by date and include an additional registration service fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
