March Hare's Final Run - Penistone

March Hare's Final Run in Penistone is a seven hour timed running challenge on the Trans Pennine Trail. The event uses a flat, lapped route with each lap approximately 6.55 miles long. Runners may complete as few or as many laps as they wish within a strict seven hour cut off. Runners who finish after the cut off will receive a time for the last lap completed within the seven hour limit.

Race headquarters is at Penistone Community Centre, Church Street, Penistone, Sheffield S36 6AR. The venue offers parking, toilets and an indoor baggage area that can be accessed at any time. A feed station will be located outside the hall and can be used after about 2 miles or at the end of each lap. The event is cupless so participants must bring a bottle or cup; organisers will refill bottles and cups with squash, water or coke.

All finishers receive a bespoke March Hare medal new for 2026 and a goody bag; chocolate items and hot drinks and cake will be available during and after the event. Registration and bib collection take place on the morning of the race.

Event limits and conditions include a maximum of 85 entrants, a minimum age of 15 years, and no refunds. Transfers and deferrals are allowed only up to seven days before the event. Dogs are not permitted due to permit restrictions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
