The March Hare's Final Run in Penistone is a 7 hour timed running challenge held on 08 March 2026. Runners complete repeated laps on a flat, lapped route with each lap approximately 6.55 miles. Participants may stop after any lap; the number of laps completed within the 7 hour limit determines distance covered. Timing for anyone finishing after the 7 hour cut off will record the last lap completed within the 7 hour deadline. A March Hare medal new for 2026 and a goody bag are provided to all finishers. Hot drinks, cake and chocolate items will be available during and after the event.

Practical information

Race headquarters is at a community centre in Penistone (Church St, Sheffield S36 6AR). The event is off-road/paved. The field is limited to 85 entrants; entries close 01/03/2026. Minimum age is 15 years. Entry fees are listed as Affiliated £28.00 and Unattached £30.00. Transfers and deferrals are allowed only up to 7 days before the event; no refunds. Registration and bib collection take place on the morning of the race. The event is cupless; runners must bring their own bottle or cup.
