MammothMarch Wisconsin is a two-day hiking event held on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27, 2027, in the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest. The start and finish location is Long Lake Recreation Area, N3450 Division Rd, Cascade, WI 53011. The forest spans roughly 30,000 acres and includes sections of the Ice Age Trail.
The event offers single-circuit hiking loops in two distances:
- 20 miles - single-circuit loop
- 30 miles - single-circuit loop
Total elevation gain is approximately 900 ft for the 20-miler and about 1,500 ft for the 30-miler. Routes combine paved and unpaved hiking trails, dirt trails, gravel roads, and forest floor. Final route maps are provided close to the event date.
Aid and refreshment stations are located along the route, approximately every 5 to 7 miles, and include toilets, food, and drinks; these provisions are included with entry. Complimentary parking is available on site. All participants who complete a distance receive a finisher medal and a personalized certificate; participants who stop early receive a certificate stating the mileage covered.
