The Lumberjack 100 is a multi-distance trail running event held at the Uplands in Port Gamble, Washington. The event uses an eight-loop format: each loop is 12.5 miles, with approximately 1500 feet of elevation gain per loop and a total elevation gain near 12,000 feet. The course is a mix of single track and dirt roads, roughly 75% single track and 25% dirt roads, and is marked with reflective tape and arrows.

Distances offered:

  • 50 Miler

There are three fully stocked aid stations on the course for each loop, including hot food available through the night and Tailwind fueling. Drop bag locations are provided for all entrants.

Pacing rules vary by distance: pacers are allowed for the 100 mile distance after 50 miles (loop 4), and the 100K may use a pacer for the fifth loop after 50 miles. Pacing is not permitted for the 50 mile distance.

The start/finish area at the Uplands is about a quarter mile south of Port Gamble on state route 104. There is ample room for car and tent camping and RVs, though there is no running water at the start/finish; a store and guesthouses are located in town and several hotels are available in nearby Poulsbo. Registration closes May 29 at 11:59 PM PT. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
