Lake Tye Challenge

Monroe, United States • 30 May 2026

Event Information

The Lake Tye Challenge is a timed ultramarathon event featuring 12-hour, 6-hour, and 3-hour race options. It takes place on a 1.75-mile loop trail around Lake Tye in Monroe, WA. Participants choose one timed race and aim to complete as many laps as possible within their chosen timeframe. Race results are based on the total distance of completed laps, with partial laps not counted.

The event includes a full aid station at the start/finish area of each lap, providing water, electrolyte drink, and energy-rich food. There is direct beach access for cooling down. The grass lawn at the start/finish can be used for personal drop bags or canopies, which must be weighted down. Each participant receives a wooden medal or coaster. Special distance achievements (half marathon, marathon, 50k, 50 miles, or 100k) are marked on the medal.

This event is a fundraiser for local charities, with past proceeds going to the Wild Sky Community Trails Association, a nonprofit focused on promoting and preserving non-motorized trails and recreation access in the Skykomish River Valley. Bib pick-up opens at 4:30 AM. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
