Endurance Event at Lincoln Park

One Step Closer is a timed endurance event held at Lincoln Park in Seattle. The race utilizes a 2 mile course loop within the park. Participants select a specific time duration and aim to complete as many laps of the circuit as possible within that timeframe. All participants conclude their respective events simultaneously at 11:00pm.

The event offers several duration options for adult participants:

  • 18 Hour
  • 12 Hour
  • 6 Hour
  • 3 Hour

For younger participants, the Kid's Loopy Race takes place on a different circuit around the baseball field. Children can choose between a 30 minute or 1 hour duration. They may take breaks as needed and pass through a dedicated snack station throughout the event. Every child receives a medal upon completion.

The 2026 edition introduces the Battle of the Run Clubs. Participants can register as part of a team consisting of two to five members. The three teams that record the highest number of total loops by the end of the event will be recognized with finishers' plaques.

The course at Lincoln Park is noted for its diverse terrain within a compact area. Following the conclusion of the timed portions, a finish line celebration is held for all runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
